Meet me!

A normal physiologic labor and birth is one that is powered by the innate human capacity of the woman and fetus. This birth is more likely to be safe and healthy because there is no unnecessary intervention that disrupts normal physiologic processes.

A little bit about me…

I grew up in Norway — a country known for having some of the best birth outcomes in the world — so I suppose you could say I learned early on that birth can actually be… quite wonderful. My mom was born at home, and I was born at a birth center with a midwife. She always told me my birth was so much easier than she expected (I like to think I set the bar high right from the start).

When I got pregnant with my first baby, I went all in. I read everything I could find, watched every birth video ever made, and even studied midwifery textbooks for fun.

I was hooked — and honestly, I still am.

Working with women and birth was always something I wanted to do, but life had me wearing a few other hats while I raised my kids and built a career in photography — my second great love (tied closely with ballet, art, and dark chocolate… and maybe a little salt licorice). In the meantime, I supported friends and family as a doula and birth educator, which only confirmed that this was where I was meant to be.

Now, I’m so grateful to do this work full time. Every woman who invites me into her birth story reminds me how powerful and sacred this experience is. My goal is to help every mama feel like the goddess and creator she truly is — supported, seen, and empowered to birth her way.

If you’ve found your way here, I’m so glad. You’re in the right place.
